Working face-to-face to explore your thoughts and feelings about what is troubling you in a respectful, confidential and non-judgmental way, we can find a way forward together. I personally know what it is like feeling alone to face life challenges but also how things can be transformed by reaching out to someone who can listen with empathy and understanding.
I work from both a home office in the PO16 area and also an office in Chichester City Centre, both of which provide good public transport access and conventient car-parking. You are welcome to contact me for a noncommittal informal discussion to see if counselling is right for you. Having lived many years in Taiwan I am also able to offer counselling in Mandarin Chinese - 普通話-國語.

I am a fully qualified, BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working face-to-face with 18+ adults.

Often we need to look outside of our usual circle of family and friends to find our way through difficulties facing us. It is here that talking to an experienced counsellor can be transformational. I believe that our past experiences, particularly in early life, have shaped the way we relate to others (and to ourselves), in the present. My own personal therapy and many hours of experience as a counsellor has shown me that exploring this in a confidential and affirming setting can be liberating.

FAQs
Will Counselling Help Me?
It can be a daunting step in deciding to come for counselling. However whether you are facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relational difficulties, anger issues or simply just being stuck in life, simply talking to someone who will listen with empathy and without judgement can be a breakthrough.
What happens in a Counselling Session?
During each 50 minute session you will have time and space to talk freely and confidentially about what is troubling you. By exploring together thoughts and feelings around this and looking for patterns that may reach out into other areas of life we can find the source of the problems you are facing. You will always be in charge of what you wish to talk about and there will be no pressure to talk about issues you are not ready to discuss.
What are the costs?
Each 50 minute session has a fixed charge of 45 pounds. The agreed fee will remain fixed throughout your counselling and will not increase. For anyone on benefits or with limited financial resources we can discuss a lower rate. Please get in touch to discuss this.
